I know, I know!

D: I have been terribly negligent... I admit. I think I still have jet lag... that trip to Spain was tiiiiring!!

This is Spain... there will be more where this came from... 

I do have to say, I was quite shocked when I got back... there seems to have been a new... addition. His name is Dash... say 'hello,' Dash...

Dash: Hello...

D: So, yeah, there's that guy. Not sure how I feel about him yet... he just kind of follows me around, looking at me with big googly eyes. 

Dash: *in awe* It's... Dot.... wooooooow.... so... AWESOME!!!

D: Yeah, see what I have to deal with there? I mean... who is this kid? What has he heard? I suspect an elaborate spy network, and you can bet there will be an interrogation later on... possibly the withholding of some cookies. I'll keep you updated.

This little bear is going INTERNATIONAL! BWA HAHAHAHAHA! First step in world domination? VISITING THE WORLD!
(see me! I am the speck on top of his head!!... he seems skeptical about my insistence that I need to have the best vantage point... for security sake... to, you know, protect us from attacks and stuff)


So, H's brother, C, is going to Spain for a month, and I am tagging along. He's going to be hiking across Northern Spain, and I know H is hoping that both he and I make it back ok!
I will be going, of course, for the food... but I'm sure I'll see some stuff on the way... and then I'll be a world traveler! The downside? You will have to live without me until Sept 30th, aka, my triumphant return!!

These pics are of me and C at the airport, about to leave (I am on top of the blue backpack there)... thank goodness I qualified as carry-on! Unfortunately, H couldn't follow C very far... and C already has some pics of us that are exclusive to his camera... so I can't share those until I return either... but hey... sometimes sacrifices must be made!

So, Adios, Amigos! I will see you in a month! (H might update while I am gone... she might have some old pics of me laying around or something... cause, you know... I know how much you all will miss me.)

Quick Review of NYC

D: I went to NYC with H... and here is what I thought:

Dramatically underfed! I guess birds evolved from Dinosaurs... I wonder if T-Rex tastes like chicken?

BEST. RAMEN. EVER. I will never be able to eat the cheap stuff happily again... which is so very, very sad... I love the cheap stuff...

I guess this is famous or something, it was behind glass and there were a lot of big people crowding around it.... I don't see what the big deal was.

Chicken Curry Sandwich with Cranberry chutney and fresh fruits and veggies! Definitely more exciting than some dumb ol' painting.

Faeries? Central Park is straaaange....
That was my trip to NYC, in a quick NY second!

An Early Midsummer's Night...

I wish EVERYDAY was vacation!

D: Hi guys! I just got back from something H called "vacation"... now, when she first told me we were going on "vacation" I thought she was going to take me to the doctor and I was going to get a ton of shots... since she said we were going for a week... so, I admit, I might have embarrassed myself with a bit of a tantrum... and perhaps a little running away and hiding.

Finally though H managed to find me and convince me "vacation" was something I wanted to do... and BOY WAS SHE RIGHT!

Then I got to relax somewhere called the "beach"... and collect something called Petoskey stones... they don't look impressive when dry, but when they're wet they look like this:


and finally... I had a WHOLE WEEK of Gelato trips... mmmmmmm... coconut and chocolate almond = Almond Joy Gelato!!!

Yup, I think I might go on "vacation" next week too.

D: Yeah, next... *backs away from Wise Old Mr. Panda* So, anyways, next we've got the minions. They're all the same, they can't even tell each other apart... so don't worry about that.
S: SO CUTE!
D: Yeah, they're pretty cute... but they'll latch on and never let go, so only use them if you are in dire need.
S: What's 'dire need'?
D: I think it's like, RIT dye and kool aid and stuff.
S: I like Kool Aid!
D: Me too.



S: Who are they?
D: No one, never speak of them again, and never look them directly in the eyes!


D: Do you think you've got it, kid?
S: Yup!
D: Good, stick with me and you'll be just fine.
